Headnote[]
Forengard's geology and geomorphology is purposefully left up to the imagination for the sake of not limiting the creativity of GGaD's users, with only some guidelines as to elucidate to the point of slight clarity. There is no canonical shape of Forengard; it could be one continent, it could be a series of islands, it's all up to you.
Forengard[]
Forengard, as a mass, is split into two main parts: the Overworld, where the most gods and living mortals make their homes, and the Underworld, where a smaller quantity of gods and the dead live. Each is divided into a number of sects, large themed areas.
Overworld Sects[]
The Overworld of Forengard is divided into three sect, each based on a period of time ranging from the past to the far future.
- The Medieval Sect is based on the time period of the same name, sporting a cast of knights, royalty, peasant villages and feudalist values. The greenery remains generally untamed, keeping with the developments of the era. Irrigated cropland and pastureland is a hallmark sight to see.
- The Modern Sect is centered on the current day, with jungles of concrete buildings and the bustle of automobile traffic. Despite secularity rising in this era, deities still roam the sect and even make their domains there.
- The Cyber Sect is that of the far out future, where the main feature of the skyline is glowing neon lights. Here, cities are cramped and most spend their time indoors. Technology has progressed to astonishing heights with the standard of living rising alongside it as life becomes ever easier for the layman.
Underworld Sects[]
The Underworld of Forengard is divided into many sects, each themed in various concepts, each with a set purpose, as opposed to just periods of time. (Not all sects may be listed, please bear with me. - Corvus)
- The Sky Sect is a realm of open, cloudy skies where the honored dead, angels and celestial deities make their home atop the clouds, looking down on mortal Forengard.
- The Deep Sect is a large ocean teeming with underwater life. Vast unexplored stretches of water where related deities and the spirits of deceased marine animals reside.
- The Time Sect is a series of dunes and deserts made of dust, revealing insight about the past and future in the drifts of gray sand. Lost spirits who refuse to pass reside here.
- The Bridge Sect is a large stone bridge suspended over a large chasm, and lies directly behind the Mortem Doors. Only one known deity makes their home here. This sect is where the dead will enter and exit the Underworld.
- The Pit Sect is just that: a pit. A pit where the souls of wretched are restrained, not unlike a prison. They, being wretched, are punished for eternity or until they escape. Demons are created and raised here.
